Amelia
Island/Fernandina is our home port. Our E-102 Project is a
cornerstone of our operation. We may travel to other
locales, but we will always return home. Amelia is
convinced that there is a tremendous amount of treasure to
be discovered in our Contract Area. We have completed the
first phase of a State of Florida Exploration Contract,
the remote sensing survey. We are in the second phase to
'dig and identify' our magnetic anomaly targets. The
remote sensing survey is being updated using the latest
and best equipment available to give us and the State of
Florida more detail about what lies under the sea off the
First Coast. This historically important area deserves all
the care and due diligence we can provide. If we can
pinpoint a historically important wreck site, Florida MAY
issue a salvage contract at their discretion. The best
route for Amelia, or any salvage company, to follow is
abiding by, and improving upon, the archaeological
guidelines provided by the Bureau of Archaeological
Research in Tallahassee. These valuable historical
resources belong to all of us, not just the salvors, not
just the academics, not just the politicians, but to the
people. |
